Josh James Brolin(; born February 12, 1968)[2] is an American role player. He is the recipient of several accolades, including a Critics' Pick Motion picture Honour, a Screen Actors Order Laurels, and a nomination for an Academy Honor.

Brolin has appeared in films such equally The Goonies (1985), Mimic (1997), Hollow Human (2000), Grindhouse (2007), No Country for Former Men (2007), American Gangster (2007), Due west. Brolin was born on February 12, 1968, in Santa Monica, California, the son of Jane Cameron (Agee), a wildlife activist who was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, and actor James Brolin.[3] [4] Brolin was raised on a ranch in Templeton, California,[v] with picayune exposure to his father'southward acting career.[6] His parents divorced in 1984, when he was 16 years old.

Brolin said in a 2014 interview that during his teenage years, he was a member of a surfing friendship group who chosen themselves the "Cito Rats". In his description of the group, he said, "Information technology was Santa Barbara. It was the '80s. It was punk rock. You lot either had the children of rich, neglectful parents or children of poor, and so it was a mix. But we basically grew up the same mode. I've never seen a group like that before or since." He admitted to stealing cars to pay for his drug use, which included heroin, a drug that he explained he did non similar: "I mean, I never got into information technology and I never died from it, which is a good thing. Brolin was married to actress Alice Adair from 1988 until 1994;[26] they have 2 children, son Trevor and girl Eden, both actors.[27] He was engaged to actress Minnie Driver for six months.[26] He married actress Diane Lane on August 15, 2004.[28] Brolin and Lane divorced in 2013.[29]

In March 2013, Brolin began dating his former banana and model Kathryn Boyd, who is 20 years his junior.[30] They became engaged in March 2015.[31] The couple married on September 24, 2016,[32] and announced on May 29, 2018, that they were expecting their commencement kid.[33] Brolin announced through Instagram on November 4, 2018, that Boyd had given birth to a daughter.[34] Their 2nd daughter was born on December 25, 2020.[35]
